This page features videos I have created and posted on YouTube. The videos range from very old from when I was attending The Ohio State University in the late 1960's and early 1970's to recent videos I have created for educational purposes.I hope you enjoy them. I plan on adding more as I create them, so check back. ~ Charles Legg

  • Vintage Sencore Tube Tester Refurbished

This video shows how I refurnished a vintage Sencore TC-109 tube tester. I replaced capacitors and resistors as well as installing a three prong plug to bring it in line with current electrical safety codes. I hope that this video helps those in their own restoration of vintage electronics. The tube tester is now part of my electronic workshop tools.

  • Vivitar 285HV Disassembly

This instructional video demonstrates, step by step, how to completely disassemble the Vivitar 285HV photographic strobe unit. This is the first of many videos I hope to create showing how to disassemble, repair, and create projects. I hope to follow this video up with one showing how to build a variable power output control for the Vivitar 285HV.

  • Lt. Charles Legg Receiving Award

On September 19, 2005 Charles W. Legg, Fire Lieutenant for the Columbus Division of Fire, received a Certificate of Honor and Recognition from the City of Columbus, Ohio City Council by Michael. Mentel, then President of City Council. Lt. Legg was being honored for performing duties beyond the call of duty in computerizing the Columbus Division of Fire. This is a video of that recognition and presentation and was provided by the City of Columbus GTV channel 3 studios.

  • The Stadium Scholarship Dormitory

The Stadium Scholarship Dormitory was located within the west side of Ohio Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University from 1933 to the mid nineteen-nineties. This film, made by Charles Legg, a resident of the Stadium Dorm from 1968 to 1970, was completed as a class project towards his major in cinematography. The film was shot on 16mm black and white film, so I apologize for the quality of the video. It captures the essence of the Stadium Dorm and the men who lived there over those years.

  • Borror Observatory

This is a short documentary film about Borror Observatory, which was located in southern Columbus, Ohio at the YMCA Y-Park. It was made in 1972 during spring quarter by Charles Legg, a cinema major at The Ohio State University. The film was shot on 16mm black and white film, so I apologize for the quality of the video. I spent many a night at this observatory in the mid to late sixties, unfortunately it was demolished a few years ago and therefore no longer exists.
